Our Coaches

Ernest Seet Wei En

Having graduated from NTU’s Sports Science and Management programme, Ernest is knowledgeable in areas such as physiology, biomechanics, anatomy, sports injuries, psychology and coaching. Using his knowledge, he is able to help players improve holistically.

Ernest has been a passionate badminton player since young. He started the sport in Primary school, clinching many awards and medals along the way. In 2013, he founded Jwave with Vivian to help other passionate players reach their potential. Ernest has since been coaching for 10 years. He is fully accredited and registered under National Registry of Coaches (NROC). Ernest believes in giving his best to all students and aspires to help every trainee enjoy badminton to a deeper level.

Vivian Lim Huixuan

After graduating from NUS, Vivian decided to pursue her passion as a career. She became a full time coach, spending her time developing and mentoring youth athletes. Being trained in Classroom Pedagogy and Psychology, Vivian is capable of providing creative and organized lessons that would spur interest in young and rising athletes. Before finding Jwave, Vivian worked as an assistant coach at Raffles Girls Primary School. She has since acquired a sound knowledge on training beginners. By emphasizing good habits and proper technique, Vivian ensures that trainees have a good foundation before they progress to higher level. Vivian is also fully accredited and registered under National Registry of Coaches (NROC).

Tang Tinghui

Tinghui started playing badminton when he was 8 years old. Ever since, he has actively participated in many interschool tournaments. During his stint in Jurong Junior College and Boon Lay Secondary School, he was a responsible and inspiring captain. The team, under his charge, has won numerous inter school tournaments. Fueled by his passion in badminton, Tinghui started coaching in 2008. A highly driven and motivated coach, Tinghui is able to bring out the best in each and every trainee that he encounters. Tinghui has passed his Basic Sports Science course (organized by Sports Singapore) and is now in the process of attaining his fully accreditations for NROC.

Muhammad Danial

Danial is a very passionate coach with vast experience in teaching both adults and children. He has been coaching for more 5 years now and has a sound knowledge in correcting player's technique and movement.

Danial is also fully accredited and registered under National Registry of Coaches (NROC).

Chai Qing Hua

Holding his first badminton racket at only 4 years old, Qing Hua has never stop playing ever since. Even at a young age, Qing Hua has been exposed to a wide range of badminton tournaments. He has recently started to take interest into coaching and has been helping out in Jwave’s group classes under the guidance of our head coaches. It’s only a matter of time before Qing Hua becomes an extremely competent coach that would be able to bring up good athletes on his own.

Khoeng Wei Bin

Possessing a good understanding in badminton, Wei Bin is a coach that is able to help individuals improve by spotting weaknesses and addressing them progressively. Currently studying in Singapore Polytechnic, Wei Bin aspires to enter Sports Science and Management course in NTU when he graduates. Wei Bin is now helping out at numerous Primary Schools, accumulating as much experience as he can while waiting for the next intake of SG – Coach Programme.

  • Basic Sports Science Course (by SportsSG)
  • SG-Coach Theory Level 1 or above (by SportsSG)
  • SG-Coach Technical Level 1 or above (by Singapore Badminton Association)
  • Basic First Aid Certificate (by Authorised First Aid Providers)
  • Values and Principles in Sports (VPS) centificate (by SportsSG)
  • Registered under National Registry of Coaches (NROC)
  • Registered under MOE-IRS
